The Story Behind the Print

“Beavers” reflects on the things we tend to overlook in our everyday surroundings. The animals are not only part of the scene, but a reminder of how easily the living world becomes background noise.

The elongated format and the strong sunrays create a slightly tense visual rhythm. The image is not meant to blend in as decoration, but to interrupt the gaze for a moment. There is a small detail in the closer beaver’s hands that many viewers only notice later. That delay is intentional.

There is irony in the work, but also a sense of resignation. Animals adapt to changing environments, often faster than we change our own behaviour.

This print asks for attention.
