My name is Daniel Szombathy, and I was born in 1988. After graduating high school, I learned a profession, which was later followed by studies in graphic design. Today, I live and work in Budapest, where I’ve been a tattoo artist for around 10 years.
In the last few years, I (re)discovered this amazing graphic technique called linocut, and I’ve become totally obsessed with it. I spend as much time with it as I can, although I have many other interests as well.
I especially love creating designs inspired by animals, and I enjoy capturing the funny little interactions and behaviors they do.
All the prints are designed and carved by myself. After creating a few prints, I invested in my own etching press, and since then I feel I am constantly improving.
What is the purpose?
I started the LinoLab brand to show you —and everyone—how cool and incredible this technique is.
The future
