The Story Behind the Print

“Old Times” stands apart from many of the other works. Here the focus shifts from animals to human behaviour and the way certain values seem to fade or transform over time.

The reversed carving process required a different kind of thinking. Instead of removing darkness, the light itself had to be built from the black surface. The rose and the armoured glove together introduce a quiet question rather than a direct message.

The composition feels slower and more meditative. It invites observation instead of immediate interpretation.

It does not try to dominate a space.
It adds depth to it.
